Dragon-Line System

What is Dragon-Line?

Transforming Pivot Irrigation to Mobile Drip Irrigation Technology

Dragon Line Video_small.mp4

That change matters more than it might sound. When water is applied overhead, a significant portion is lost to evaporation, wind drift, and runoff before it ever reaches the root zone. By placing water right at the soil surface, Dragon-Line dramatically improves water use efficiency, university documented at 95% WUE. Now you can get the most out of every drop of water delivered, for increased efficiency and overall yield-positive results.

Dragon-Line easily attaches onto the pivot or lateral irrigation system you already own. It is a cost-effective upgrade, not a full replacement, allowing for a hybrid system. It works across a wide range of crops, field conditions, and terrain, and it has a proven track record of successful installations around the world.

Dragon-Line is a mobile drip irrigation system that retrofits your existing center pivot or linear irrigation system. Instead of inefficiently applying water through nozzles, Dragon-Line delivers water directly to the soil through a series of drip lines that drag alongside or between crop rows, or directly over the row for uniform germination, with patented adjustment capabilities.

The result is a simple but powerful shift: you water the soil at 95% WUE.

Yield Positive Technology

Get the Most from Your Irrigation System Investment

Dragon-Line is a mobile drip irrigation system that retrofits onto your existing pivot and delivers water directly to the soil, right where your crops need it. The result is better water efficiency, healthier plants, lower costs, and a stronger return on the equipment you already own.

The overview below breaks down twelve key advantages of Dragon-Line and shows how watering the soil, not the foliage, leads to better yields, better soil, and a better investment. Take a moment to view it and see the difference precision water can make.

How It Works

Dragon-Line's patented design easily retrofits onto all pivot and linear irrigation systems.

The patented Dual Winch System and V-jack Cable Hook Assembly allow both vertical and horizontal adjustments of the Manifold Flex-Hose. Dual valves let you easily switch back and forth between nozzle and mobile drip delivery. Dragon-Line provides unparalleled adjustability throughout the season.

Reversing Feature Via Flex-Hose Technology

Dragon-Line's Flex-Hose technology allows pivot systems to reverse without kinking the lines, as they fall back into line without issue. No manual labor is required for the system reversal, providing overall system efficiency.

The Problem
We Solve

Where Your Water Actually Goes on a Windy Day

Overhead sprinklers lose water before it ever reaches the ground. On a windy day, evaporative and drift losses can exceed 50 percent, meaning more than half of what you pump never makes it to the crop. Dragon-Line's precision water placement eliminates water loss from wind drift, atomization, runoff, and evaporation.

Real World Results

2025 Fall Wheat: 15% More Yield Without Sprinkler Heads

In 2025, a side-by-side comparison of Dragon-Line MDI against traditional sprinkler heads on germinating fall wheat showed a clear difference at harvest.

  • Dragon-Line MDI: 98 bu/ac

  • Sprinkler heads: 83 bu/ac

15% more production from the same field, same pivot, and same water source. The only difference was Dragon-Line MDI vs. conventional nozzle delivery. Water precisely delivered to the soil, providing uniformity of germination and improved WUE throughout the growing season

2016 Corn: 24 More Bushels Per Acre with MDI

On 75 acres of corn running a 200 GPM pivot with 10 inches of rain and 10 inches of irrigation applied, Dragon-Line MDI outproduced sprinkler heads by 24 bushels per acre.

  • Dragon-Line MDI: 246 bu/ac

  • Sprinkler heads: 222 bu/ac

Same water. Same ground. Dragon-Line Mobile Drip System delivery made THE difference.

Stress Mitigation Through Precision Water Delivery

Thermal imagery taken on August 5th shows two side-by-side pivot systems at CSS Farms. Dragon-Line MDI is on the right and conventional sprinkler nozzles are on the left.

Dragon-Line's consistent delivery of water throughout the soil profile, combined with lateral water movement by capillary action, buffers the soil. These water dynamics lower canopy temperature significantly, providing positive stress mitigation compared to conventional nozzles. Reduction of stress at critical periods of the growing season is a yield-positive benefit.

Dragon-Line allows farmers to take control of their entire agronomic program through improved WUE, NUE, stress management, and a lower disease environment.

Dragon-Line Works for Your Operation, Not the Other Way Around

In Paraguay, growers running onion beds on tight soil needed water placed precisely across each bed without compacting the rows. Dragon-Line ran four dripper lines at a customized 17.75 inch spacing, pulled together by Dragon-Line's customized stainless steel spacer bar. No wheel track issues, no surface sealing, and the same system crossed over to organic sesame seed, potatoes, and grass hay in the same field throughout the year.

Whether you are running row crops in the Midwest or specialty crops on beds, Dragon-Line's adjustability configures to fit your spacing, your soil, and your crops.
